Hudson Street Reconstruction

Filed In:

During the week of November 7 to 11 the contractor plans to pave the 2 ½” asphalt binder course on Monday, mill the existing pavement on Hudson St by the Kinderhook Bank and parking area by Route 9 on Tuesday and pave the top 1” asphalt course on Wednesday. In addition the contractor will be completing sidewalk work, regarding and completing driveways, and placing topsoil. Again this will mean closures of the one-way street and alternating one-way traffic with flagmen on Hudson Street.

Kinderhook Creek Floods in the Village

Filed In:

Although Kinderhook Creek flooded its banks Sunday evening, the water didn't make its way up to the library so the collection, computers, and basement storage are safe and dry. Both Hudson Street and Route 9 north of the village of Kinderhook were closed to traffic Sunday evening. As of 10:00 Monday morning, Route 9 was still closed to traffic near Samascott's Garden Market.
